Friends of Holland House

Have you enjoyed your visit to Holland House or feel drawn to our ethos and work?

If so, please consider becoming a ‘Friend’ and supporting the work they do on behalf of the House.

The Friends of Holland House support the House in a number of ways:

– by giving financial support through regular donations or a one-off gift that enables the Friends to fund projects, events and purchases that enhance the House and the experience of those who visit. One great example is the funding of a bedroom suite designed to allow a disabled guest plus their carer to stay.

– by volunteering time and skills to helping in the House and gardens, supporting events and by welcoming others to Holland House.

– by prayer and interest in the development of the House.

Each year a Friends’ Quiet Day is held followed by the Annual General Meeting and Friends’ Dinner which includes an after-dinner speaker. They also run several Quiet Garden Days a year and a quarterly newsletter is distributed to all members.

The Friends organise a weekend retreat each year to coincide with the Cropthorne Walkabout when the Friends have an opportunity to welcome visitors from far and wide to the House and gardens, and they also get chance to enjoy the famous Cropthorne Walkabout.

During 2018 the Friends are supporting the Holland House Appeal for renovations to the Chapel and House through the 17/18/19 Club. Participating members contribute to the Appeal regularly over the three years, 2017 – 19, during which time special events are also provided for those who’re members of the ‘club’.
