On Thursday 1st August Revd Ian Spencer (Warden of Holland House), Bishop Robert (Chair of the Friends of Holland House) & Cannon Richard Thornily (rector of Church Lench with Rous Lench & Abbots Morton & Harvington) embarked on their third rowing adventure along the River Avon. The 24 mile row started in Stratford Upton Avon and was completed at Holland House, Cropthorne. Members of the public welcomed the trio whilst enjoying Pimms on the lawns of Holland House. The rowers arrived back at 6.30pm just in time to enjoy a delightful evening with a party of 50 other guests. Holland House hosted with a beautifully cooked buffet and Black Heart Orchestra provided some wonderful music. All proceeds from ticket sales & fundraising are being donated to the Anniversary Appeal, to raise money for the upkeep and constant improvement of the 18th Century House & Gardens.
