Accommodation at Holland House includes 27 bedrooms, meeting rooms, a Chapel and gardens –  space and refreshment for individuals and groups.

The oldest part of the House dates from the early seventeenth century. Here you find a comfortable Reception area, Library Room, Drawing Room and a beamed Dining Room with an inglenook fire place. Upstairs we have a selection of mostly twin bedrooms, and our Prayer and Study rooms. The ‘Library Loft’ bedroom has a small sitting area, perfect for retreat leaders or those engaged in study or one to one meetings.

The modern block includes 18 bedrooms (16 x single, 2 x twin) and a large Conference Room. The Conference Room holds up to 50 people seated, has excellent IT facilities.

It can also hold 20+ people engaged in body-work retreats, with doors that open into the gardens, perfect for practising outside on sunny days.

This block to includes a purpose built room for people with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair. The ‘Anthony Gell Suite’ includes twin beds and a modern wet-room.  It is situated on the ground floor opposite the Conference Room for ease of access.

On the other side of the old House there is a lovely Chapel with a large clear window behind the Altar looking out across the gardens toward the ancient Cedar of Lebanon. The Chapel can be used by groups for Christian worship, prayer, or art –  and because it has direct access to the Library Room it is perfect for retreats that include regular worship or prayer activity.

Also in the grounds we have a small house called ‘The Den’.  This has a good sized meeting space (15-20) with toilet facilities. The Den has underfloor heating and is a favourite with those seeking a quiet place away from any possible disturbance.

People come to Holland House in many different ways. Some as individuals on private retreat to study or simply for ‘time-out’, some in groups for meetings, retreats, small conferences, yoga, creative arts activities, meditation or simply to spend time together. Some come for work-related meetings for example teachers, carers, nurses and clinicians, and some for courses of professional study –  physiotherapists, psychotherapists, counsellors etc. Whatever your reason for coming we will have the right room and space to suit your needs.

The Holland House Programme includes regular day and residential retreats and activities to which all are welcome.
