Spread the love

‘When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and children’s lives may be …………………………………………… For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free. (Wendell Berry)

What does it mean to practice the theological virtue of hope while following the Way with our eyes open?

In this retreat we will explore how to share God’s work and to live well in a time of crisis.  There will be addresses, times of silence with optional exercises and access to resources from literature, art and nature to help our thinking.

Helen Stanton is the new warden at Holland House.  Formerly she was one of the Anglican team at the Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, where she taught spirituality, doctrine and ethics.  A lay woman, Helen is also a spiritual director and painter.

The weekend runs from 4pm on Friday until afternoon tea on Sunday.

Accommodation and refreshments included.
