The story of the discovery of Richard III in a car park in Leicester in 2012 is well-known. What is perhaps less well-known is the story of what happened subsequently. Described as ‘The man Leicester Cathedral chose to bury a king’, Revd Pete Hobson offers a unique perspective on Richard’s final journey from discovery to reburial. For Pete, this was a once in a lifetime project. There was no precedent for reburying a king and the eyes of the world were watching closely. The story of Richard III is one that continues to capture the imagination. Pete Hobson is author of How to Bury A King – The Reinterment of King Richard III.
